#17 Ohio State 94, #22 Michigan 85 (final)

what an amazing display of shooting in the first half. hopefully we will stay hot during the second half. I loved the announcers saying michigan must be getting sick of the buckeyes beating them the deep ball. First Troy Smith on the football field and now the basketball bucks on he bball court. LOL
anyone still find Musberger to be Michigan-friendly (ie yellow tie in the booth on 11/19) after that not-so-subtle dig?

As we have seen, the first half has actually been two quarters. In the first quarter, Michigan outscored us by 13 points. In the second quarter, we outscored Michigan by 19! On the road! The courage of this team is incredible.

1) Can we be tougher on our perimeter defense so that Michigan doesn't get easy entry passes? Once the ball gets inside 8 feet, their interior offense is almost unstoppable.

2) Can we withstand the first five minutes of the second half? Michigan will come out emotional, to try to get the crowd going.

3) Michigan will come out with some perimeter defense adjustments of their own. This incredible three point shooting will be hard to maintain. Maybe we can find spaces in the 12-16 foot range to score.

4) Keep Dials from getting his third foul too soon.

I thought we lacked intensity in the first six minutes. We can't afford those kinds of lapses in the second half.

Random thoughts...

Need to get tougher down-low on D. I've never seen a team give up so many easy buckets like OSU is tonight.

Dials needs to get his BUTT in gear. He's getting beat by guys less talented and uglier than him. Can't have that.

Is it just me, or is Ivan Harris reminding you of a taller version of Jaime Skelton too?

Look for Ron Lewis to have a bigger prescence here in the 2nd half. scUM will be gearing for defending the 3, which will leave lanes open for driving to the hoop. Lewis should get some drives and shoot his share of FT's here in the 2nd
