That isn't Lane Kiffin's wife.

I think you are right, I got it here:

http://www.rollbamaroll.com/2009/6/17/912826/the-great-lane-kiffin-debate

and reading the inscription it says: Hotter than Layla Kiffin with none of the "Kiffin" baggage. Seriously.

So OK, is this her?

That was the second game of the season for Duh U...not sure if the CokeCanes were ranked pre-season. I think FGCU may have got the benefit of being an "unknown entity" being that was the second game of the year...they're hardly going to sneak up on Florida.

Miami wasn't ranked then, but I don't think they were "sneaked up on". They were missing Durand Scott, who'd been suspended for impermissible benefits, but they still had 3 senior starters and the knowledge that had had defeated Fla Gulf Coast by a 60-50 score last year.

Miami had a 15-5 lead in that game, but ended up shooting 29% from the field and losing losing 63-51. Fla Gulf Coast only shot 1-11 on 3-pointers in that game, but made 60% of their 2-point shot attempts.

Meyer?s rooting interest in the Arizona-Ohio State game is a no brainer, but his connection to FGCU has the Buckeyes coach pulling for the Eagles over the Gators. Meyer?s daughter, Gigi, is a FGCU volleyball player. So when the two teams tip-off Friday night, Meyer will be going with the underdog.

Kevin Armstrong @KevinGArmstrong

Urban Meyer's daughter, Gigi, a Florida Gulf Coast vball player, says her father called and texted her, "I'm an Eagle! Go Eagles!!"

Gator fans outraged in 3...2...1

Cue impending resignation for "health problems" so he can take the FGCU head football coach position because it's easier. Typical Urban Meyer. :shake:

Yeah, that really cast FGCU is a good light. :roll1: There's a reason why most of the crowd looked back at those dip[Mark May]s in disblief...even the head coach had to force to keep his smile.

Shocking for a school with a mean ACT score lower than the national average...

They canceled Monday classes:)
Florida Gulf Coast?s run to the Sweet 16 has folks on the Fort Myers, Fla., campus excited.

Lines in the bookstore snaked from one side to the other yesterday as fans waited for the chance to pay for their FGCU shirts and hats. Phone lines were jammed by those seeking tickets for this week?s South Regional. The servers that host the school?s athletic department website crashed. And, as they arrived at classes, players were met with applause.
Except when classes were canceled.

?Professors canceled classes today, some of them,? student Erica Turczyn said. ?I don?t know how anyone can focus right now.?

?It?s so brand new,? Eagles coach Andy Enfield said. ?No one knows ? no one knew ? what FGCU stood for, the letters. Now it puts our university in a national spotlight, and rightly so, because this is a great place. It?s a young, vibrant university with just a lot of energy.?

The school, with about 11,300 students, includes a man-made lake and beach where students flock.

The Eagles play Florida on Friday night.

FGCU and UF will be a very interesting clash of styles. FGCU obviously wants to run and UF wants to slow the pace down and execute in the half court. That said, UF has the athletes to defend FGCU at every position. Personally, I think that with 4 days to prepare and the athletes that UF has that they'll win this one relatively handily, but if FGCU is able to speed up the pace and get some easy buckets for even a few minutes, it's possible they could win.

Agree. Gulf Coast likes an up-tempo game while Florida would rather go at a slower pace and they are a pretty good defensive team. I think if Gulf Coast can get the Gators to run with them they have a chance but a Florida control tempo they win but I still don't see them winning by 13... maybe I watched two of their better games over the weekend... don't know.
