BG$--Bookser makes Ohio State visit

Alex has trimmed his list to Alabama, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and Virginia. He says he was able to see more of campus and the visit solidified his strong impression of tOSU.

Must be good things going on at Northwestern and Virginia for those two schools to hang in with the others Bookser is listing. Wonder why Michigan isn't listed. Anybody know anything about either?

OK, let me rephrase the question: Isn't it unusual to see someone with this level of football talent listing Virginia and Northwestern this far into the recruiting game?

I like Fitzgerald as a coach, but...

And, I thought one of Hoke's major goals was to remake the Michigan OL/DL after the 3 year disaster known as the Rich Rod Era, so why isn't he hot on this kids trail? Or is he and the kid isn't buying?

Not this year. Virginia has two 5-star commits that everyone wanted and both have been in the conversation for a lot of good recruits (NW has only landed a few, but been doing work unlike most of the B1G).

As JW said, it's not surprising at all to see those two schools up there. A+ academics, schools that have pulled solid classes lately (NW more solid across the board, UVA more major talent), and coaching staffs that have immense respect in their areas. Not many coaches in the Mid-Atlantic, if any, more respected than Coach London and Fitz doesn't need any explanation. If I was in his spot, it'd be hard not to have those schools listed still.

Mich. has 11 OL with freshman eligibility this season.
