The Dean of Recruiting, Sir Willianm Kurelic has confirmed that Jermaine will be visiting FSU on 7/23.

I'm the last one on the "we slow played him train", when a recruit opts elsewhere.
But the working theory is that we will only take one JUCO, ergo I'm open to the theory in this case.

The take away from Mr. Kurelic's post was that he would not be verbaling this past friday.
He nailed that, and that is the critical data point.

He didn't issue "===" to JE as a certain "insider" on another site did.

For that I give this round to Sir William!

I don't posit to be a film expert as most internet posters do, but am heartened by the fact that a bonafide poster on this board prefers Mavety.

Is it possible we slow played JE, with the goal of only procuring 1 JUCO?

Certainly possible and I think BK would agree with that. I can't imagine he was set to verbal to OSU and was not going to make any other visits and then the very next day was rumored to be visiting FSU only to have that change back to the originally scheduled visit to Arkansas. Maybe the kid is really all over the place like that but to me it seems as though the OSU staff may be in a position to slow things down and make sure they are getting exactly who they want and is giving the kid the chance to make some of these other visits to buy some time. If they wanted JE and he wanted to verbal...I think that would have happened. Is it possible FSU and Arkansas got in his ear and changed his mind? Possibly but I don't think so (although I know there is an FSU insider who maintains FSU was on the verge of convincing him to visit). Sounds to me more like the OSU staff wanted to slow things down and see exactly where things are with Mavety. It has been well documented by trusted sources, including BK, that not only will the OSU staff not take two JUCOs but that Mavety and JE have indicated they are aware of each others situation and will not be selecting the same school. So again, why slow play JE unless you like Mavety more? That's the conclusion I am drawing.
