Evaluation
January, 2010: Deontae is a thin combo forward that is improving by leaps and bounds. He is very, very long and is skilled enough to play the 3 one day down the road. Right now he is more of a skilled power forward. He is a solid athlete and has a tremendous upside. He has started to realize some of that potential this season. He can step out and shoot effectively to 17 feet. He is continueing to develop his handle though it still needs work. He is a decent rebounder but needs to greatly improve his strength. He can be muscled out of the paint right now. He is a nice talent that will continue to develop and improve.
