'13 IL OL Ethan Pocic (LSU Verbal)

Lemont's Pocic up to 20 offers, Crete-Monee's Standifer still thinking
By Tim O'Halloran Special to the Tribune
February 13, 2012

Lemont junior offensive tackle Ethan Pocic, who is 6-foot-7, 285 pounds, landed five offers last week, bringing his total to 20.

Texas A&M, Clemson, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Missouri were the latest to offer.

"Some of the offers last week came from literally out of nowhere," Pocic said. "I hadn't heard anything from some of these schools, and the next thing I know I have a scholarship offer from those schools.

"I still need to learn more about most of the schools that offered me last week. Adding more offers just makes trying to narrow everything down that much harder, but it's a really nice problem to have for sure."

I wouldn't count Michigan out on this one, although it is at least slightly encouraging that while Pocic visited them during the weekend of their massive four-star haul, he did not commit.

Pocic would be a very important recruit for whoever gets him, but even moreso because that school can deny the other two a top offensive line prospect.
