'12 OH DE LaTroy Lewis (Tennessee signee)

LaTroy Lewis and Greg McMullen

I was waiting until LaTroy committed elsewhere as I didn't see him going to Ohio State. I happened to be one on the field of the Ohio State - Iowa game when we clinched the Big 10 Championship and saw these two on the field, and am honestly shocked about their decisions. We've seen the quotes from early in their threads, but I legitimately saw happiness in their eyes while they celebrated the Ohio State win that I am schocked at both of them going to schools outside of Ohio State. I wish the both of them the best of luck, but hope that they made feel they made the right choice 4 or 5 years from now. Ohio State is not going anywhere but up, they could've helped, but we'll find others to do the same.

Archbishop Hoban defensive end LaTroy Lewis out for season with broken bone in foot

Joe Maxse, Plain Dealer Reporter, September 04, 2011 2:21 a.m.

Archbishop Hoban senior defensive end LaTroy Lewis suffered a broken bone in his right foot Friday night against Benedictine and will miss the rest of the football season.

Lewis, who has made an oral commitment to play at Tennessee, did not return phone calls to The Plain Dealer. Hoban coach Ralph Orsini said the injury occurred late in the third quarter when Lewis recovered a Benedictine fumble to set up a touchdown drive for the Knights.

"It's unfortunate," said Orsini. "But it's the type of injury that will not hamper him at the next level. It's going to need time to heal so he is done for the season."

The Bengals rallied to defeat the Knights, 21-14.
