One of the nation's top blocking prospects Landon Turner picks Heels

Four-star offensive lineman Landon Turner of Harrisonburg HS (Harrisonburg, Va.), has announced his Class of 2011 decision for North Carolina.

His finalists also included Virginia Tech and West Virginia.

Rated No. 11 as an offensive guard prospect nationally by ESPNU, the 6-foot-5, 305-pound Turner also considered Florida and Michigan State. Among many others were LSU, Maryland, Stanford, Virginia and East Carolina.

The Tar Heels now have 14 commitments.
