Melrose High School basketball standout Adonis Thomas, one of the best prep players in the country, will play his college basketball at the University of Memphis, he announced today.

Melrose senior forward Adonis Thomas announced this afternoon on ESPNU he has committed to the University of Memphis over Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee and UCLA, ending a hotly contested recruiting battle for one of the nation's top overall prospects.
