I'm embarrassed at some of the back and forth in the recruiting forums lately. I'll leave it at that.
I agree with Max here, the height of Kirby is pretty impressive. However, he is very thin, with narrow shoulders. Looks more like a 400 runner. I like this offer and it will be interesting to see how this one develops.

Prior to Saturday?s Big-33 Football Classic, Gateway head coach Terry Smith offered an update on two Division-1 prospects that will play a key role in the Gators? 2010 season ? DB Dondi Kirby and WR/LB Armstead Williams.

Smith said Kirby ? a 6?3, 190-pound athlete ? likely won?t make a verbal commitment anytime soon. Scholarship offers keep on rolling in for Kirby, who is approaching 20-offer level, Smith said. To date, Kirby has received offers from programs like Florida, Southern California, Iowa, Ohio State, Pitt, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Share In his junior season, Kirby made the majority of his impact defensively, tallying 44 tackles (37 solo), intercepting four passes and forcing two fumbles. He also caught seven passes for 115 yards and added a five-yard touchdown run.
