'11 OH ATH Akise Teague (Cincinnati Signee)

Has almost 200 yards rushing with 3:00 left in the second quarter.

See, this is why the people who get caught up in recruiting numbers are off base... it's because of late candidates like this that it's good to keep a few schollys available.

Question- given that we've already got more running backs than we know what to do with (Boom, Hall, Hyde, Berry, Smith), two more coming in (Ball, Dunn), one more offer out there (Shell)... do we have room for him? Or are we turning into a certain northern team, except with running backs and not slot-dots?

This is one USC type problem that I'm perfectly glad to have.

Kid's a football player. From his highlights, he reminds me of current Buckeye Chris Fields, but with Fitzgerald Touissant's shake and bake. I can see why some would mention Chris Rainey with regards to Akise. He's pretty unique. Serious wheels with breakaway speed, serious jukes, good vision, and remarkably good at breaking tackles and making people miss despite his short stature.

If for no other reason, he should have an offer as a special teams demon. Athlete that could line up at WR or RB... any way you could get him on the field. Looks like a real playmaker on offense. Gotta think Tressel would love his versatility too.

Love this kid. I hope he gets an offer in the next batch of offers and we can find a place for him in this class.

The kid would be worth a scholarship on return ability alone.

Personally, I think he could be a running back here, but more than likely he's a slot receiver. Nothing wrong with that, IMO. Just get the ball in his hands a few times a game and see what he can do.

The young man looks legit. He is small in stature, but at his height, if he got to 190-195 he could play every down. I agree with those who have mentioned Ringer. With his vision, burst and hips, hiding behind the O-lineman til something develops, he could be a beast.
