In Chaminade-Madonna's Jerrard Randall and Plantation quarterback Immoni Carswell, the team has a pair of leaders who have proven they can be productive against some of the best competition around.
...
``There is a lot of talent to spread the ball around to,'' said Randall, who enjoyed his first full year at Chaminade-Madonna after coming over from Miami Norland at the end of his sophomore year. ``We have speed, size and a lot of athletes.''

Jerrard Randall (Hollywood, Fla./Chaminade): The 6-1, 185-pound Randall is one of the top athletes, pound for pound, in the Sunshine State's 2011 class. He is blessed with legit 4.4 speed in the 40-yard dash, a quick arm, a plus arm to fit balls into tight windows, and quick feet.

"Randall came on this year after he transferred to Chaminade," Goetz said. "I think he could be one of the top athletes in the state of Florida. That doesn't mean he isn't a quarterback, because he is. I just believe he is one of the top pure athletes in the state. He's got an unbelievable arm; he does need some coaching and wants to be coached. The tools he has are special."

Randall, who is working on reading defenses quicker and more consistently, has offers from Oregon, Florida State, Ohio State, Florida International, West Virginia and South Carolina. Florida is his favorite with Oregon second.

Very impressive highlight video. Quick feet, quick acceleration 3 steps and he is at full speed and very nice touch on the ball. Does a nice job putting it in the spot where only his receiver can catch it. He is probably designed for a pure spread and will do well in it.

Ok where did Tyrell learn to do this under Tress and why haven't we seen it more from Tress? Cochran: No winner in blowout controversy | Prep Stars | OnlineAthens.com

See the games against Illinois and Northwestern.

I know recruits don't focus on the outcomes of single games when choosing a school, so the outcome of the Rose Bowl probably isn't a big deal to Randall, but you gotta think the approach of coaching QB's in more of an NFL-type offense as opposed to a spread can work for OSU and against Oregon (and to some extent UF). It was effective with Pryor, although other factors obviously played in. Hopefully we can gain some ground.

Scout $ - 2011 Prospect: Chaminade QB
Mike Bakas of SuperPrep.com, Mar 7, 2010

His favorite as a kid was Florida & he lists his top 5 now as Oregon, Florida, OSU, FSU, & Georgia... His top 2 factors will be the type of offense & an opportunity to start... Randall is a true dual threat with a strong arm & the ability to make a play with his legs at any time...

Rivals $ - Video: Randall scans the field

Too bad he's all Gator once they offer... This is not just an athlete playing QB... I'm far from a QB expert but I like the ball he throws... Not a huge arm but has good zip & can maintain accuracy even when adjusting his release point... Plus he's lethal in the open field, shimmies like a slalom skier in traffic but still physical on contact... A threat to house it everytime he breaks contain...
