By BK...ran a 4.77 and did 26 bench reps at the UA combine...has offers from North Carolina, Maryland, Missouri, Kansas State, New Mexico and Texas El Paso...hearing from Ohio State, Penn State, Florida, Miami and Oregon...watched a little of the Rose Bowl and was impressed with OSU.

McReynolds delivers
Like Countess, defensive tackle Kevin McReynolds (Washington, D.C./St. John's College) is a 2011 prospect from the Mid-Atlantic whose stock should continue to rise in the coming weeks.

The 6-3, 276-pound McReynolds ran an impressive 4.77 40-yard dash, a 4.69 short shuttle, a 7.95 L-cone and a 27-inch vertical. He also bench pressed 185 pounds 26 times, one of the higher marks at the combine.
In one-on-ones, McReynolds got the best of several of the offensive linemen at the event with his quickness off the ball. He also was a standout in position drills.

"I definitely felt good," he said. "I came down here just thinking I could compete and I did much better than I expected."

On the recruiting front, McReynolds is expecting an offer from Oregon in the coming days. North Carolina, Maryland and others have previously offered and Penn State is showing heavy attention.

Defensive tackle Kevin McReynolds (Washington, D.C./Saint John's College) says that LSU and Auburn are among the new programs that have been showing him early attention. McReynolds is an early addition to the roster of the 2011 Under Armour All-America Game. McReynolds also said earlier this week that he is using the snowstorms in the D.C. area to his advantage. "I have been using the snow to work out in," he said.

Back to back offers from Southern Cal & the next day from Ohio State... He's obviously blown away by both offers & says it will be difficult to choose between the two... Loves the academics, tradition, & fan support for both programs... Hopes to visit both by the end of summer... No leader, no time table...

Glad we finally offered, this is a no brainer. McReynolds, Bennett and Harley would be an ideal DT class...not sure what our odds are on McReynolds though. D.C has never been kind to us.

Just gut feeling from reading the article, but I think we'll be right there til the end in this recruitment. He really likes the program.

As for DT class, I'm hoping for Bennett, McReynolds, and Williams. I don't think Harley fits the system here.

Coach Fickell confirmed the OSU offer the other day & now he's planning on coming to the Spring game with his Dad... All schools except one are recruiting him as a DT... Received the offer from Southern Cal on his b-day (2/25)... Likes the academics at OSU & feels blessed to have the offer...

Love this offer... been waiting a while for this to happen too. If this is Kevin at 280, he has plenty of room to add some more good weight for the Nose Tackle position...
