'10 TN QB Barry Brunetti (West Virginia Signee - transfer to Ole Miss)

Yes, I was hoping for some action on the recruiting from with Mr. Brunetti. I like the tape that I've seen; evidently rivals likes it as well (FWIW). Hopefully we give him the offer or bring him up for a camp. He reminds of Boyd alot, which is not new info.

The types of plays he makes on that ESPiN video remind me a lot of what I saw in T. Pryor's high school film; either scrambling for 40+ yard TD's, or throwing deep bombs to wide open receivers that don't require stellar accuracy. Not many short-intermediate passes that would show pinpoint accuracy. Hopefully he has it in the repertoire and the video's editor was just focused on showing big TD plays.

From everything I been reading about BB I think with an offer we could be hard to beat...

Found that on a UT board...

When one of Ohio State's biggest targets at quarterback Nick Montana committed to Washington earlier this week, things have changed for the Buckeyes in their quest to land a quarterback in the 2010 class. One target the Buckeyes could turn toward is Memphis (Tenn.) Memphis University School QB Barry Brunetti. Find out inside what Brunetti had to say about Ohio State.

This recruitment isn't over. WVU pushed him for a commit. OSU can still get in on him if they desire it. And I really hope they do..the QB recruiting pool is getting mighty shallow.

Brunetti specifically said he will stand by his word and committment to the school. Now, have kids said that before and changed....yes, but Brunetti for all intents and purposes has been honest his whole recruitment, he's confident he's staying there and I believe him. If anything, the places he'd leave WVU for would be Miss. State or Tenn., we are too late to this recruitment IMO. It's Hendrix, then Graham, then *cross fingers*.

MUS QB Brunetti commits to West Virginia

If Barry Brunetti had made that recruiting trip to Penn State as he originally planned to do last Friday before Mother Nature intervened, his recruitment might still be open.

But after spending the rest of the weekend visiting fellow pursuer West Virginia, Brunetti, Memphis University School's standout rising senior quarterback prospect, was apparently sold on becoming a Mountaineer.

"It was the weather that killed us from going to Penn State, and it maybe was a blessing from the sky," Brunetti said Monday of his verbal commitment to West Virginia.

"It must have been a blessing, telling me to go to West Virginia. I spent the weekend there and I had a great time. I loved it. I mean, the thing that really got me was that I spent two days there and I could find nothing negative about it."

Rivals.com's No. 1-ranked dual-threat quarterback prospect in the Class of 2010, Brunetti picked the Mountaineers over scholarship offers from Chattanooga, Duke, Marshall, Mississippi State, Penn State, Purdue, Tulsa and the University of Memphis.

Brunetti had also made unofficial trips to Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss and Tennessee, but had yet to receive offers from those schools.

"I just felt like (West Virginia) was the place where I can come in, compete early and play early. That's the main question I asked: 'Can I come in and compete with the position open?' and they said, 'Yes,' they'll give me a shot," said Brunetti, The Commercial Appeal's 2008-09 offensive player of the year. "I got that straight from the head coach, coach (Bill) Stewart, that I can compete."
