Brook is only a sophomore, and leading North Central Ohio area in scoring average at 22 per contest. Small school kid. Maybe not an OSU target now, but worth a thread, and to keep an eye on.

Brook dropped 51pts in The BIg Red's Tuesday night game.
Regulary doubled and face gaurded all game, it dosn't matter what level your competition is 51 is a good night. Very Consistent player, he has the assists and rebounds to go with his game.

There were seven ties, six lead changes, plus two dramatic runs in the first-half alone. The most memorable play of the night came from Plymouth?s sophomore point guard Brook Turson.

Down 50-47 and with the ball following two timeouts with 12 seconds left in regulation, Turson dribbled around the top of the key to the left wing where he elevated with two defenders on him. Nevertheless, his leaning 3-pointer went down to send the game into overtime.

?It was big players making big plays,? Plymouth coach Brad Turson said. ?They made more than we did, and that?s pretty much what it comes down to.?

Turson tuned in a fabulous game, scoring 30 points with 13 rebounds, four steals and four assists.

Brook plays in the same league from where I graduated, the Firelands Conference, which is not exactly a league that will produce high caliber players. Saw him a couple of times, good basketball player, but not exactly Big Ten caliber....

I also graduated from the Firelands Confrence. And I also agree, not a confrence that produces high calliber Big Ten Players. However, Brook also plays at a very high level for his AAU team. Watching him play for Plymouth, granted he's not able to showcase all his game, being doubled and trippled night in and night out. He's not able to show if he can knock down the open shot, for the fact, he's never open in his high school games. Now in his AAU games and Tournaments, his teamates are a bit better. Brook is not doubled and trippled and face gaurded all game. There he showcases what he is unable to show in highschool games. I think it is a tribute to a 15 year old kid, to be able to, taylor your game from one venue to another. It's a transition, superstar to role player. And as that role player I feel Brook can shine and excell. He makes teamates around him better, on all levels of competion. Now, i'm not saying he's the next coming of King James or anything, but he could develop into a nice Bobbie Gibson or even Mike Conley Jr. He's 15, lets just keep an eye on him. He's a kid that's caught my eye. It really dosn't happen often. There are good High School players, and there are good high school players that just have something extra to offer. If he develops and puts the work in he needs to, he may have that extra. Lets see. It's not out of the relm of possibility that a kid from the lowly Firelands confrence can't be Good at the major college level, or even great at a Mid- major.

A long time ago. Yes. Think if he grows 2 -3 more inches. You have a 6-5/6-6 shooting gaurd that can score off the dribble and create, or elevate and hit three. It's all about summers with Brook. He may end up a really good Ball Boy, i don't know. But the potental is there.

With Plymouth sophomore sensation Brook Turson slowed by a leg injury and foul trouble, Furr pumped in 27 points and pulled down nine rebounds before fouling out with 2:45 left in the fourth quarter.
"Brook stepped up big for us Tuesday night (scoring a school-record 51 points). I knew it was bad because he couldn't even practice this week. I knew I had to step up tonight," Furr said.

When Turson went to the bench with his own fourth foul late in the third quarter, Plymouth trailed the Trojans, 43-34. Furr turned it on inside, scoring 11 of his points in the next eight minutes before earning his fifth foul. His efforts kept the Big Red (10-2, 7-2) in the game and set the stage for Turson to score 17 points in overtime.

South Central coach Pat Durham's defensive gameplan worked well on Turson, the leading scorer in north central Ohio. Turson had just three points in the first half and eight in regulation. "In this conference, no one is going to play Brook straight up," Durham said. "We wanted to limit his touches, keep him from getting the ball and make him give it up when he got it. We played a 1-3 zone with a chaser and it did what it was supposed to do with Brook.

Plymouth 91, Monroeville 86 MONROEVILLE -- Brook Turson had a triple-double -- 22 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds -- and Jacob Furr's 32 points and 10 rebounds helped Plymouth rally in the fourth quarter of this Firelands Conference shootout. Cory Brown pumped in a career-high 20 points to boost the Big Red.

Brook took a knee to thigh(dignos:: deep muscle bruise) in his 51 point game last week and has been slowed his last two games. He's still requiring a double/tripple team even on one good leg. He's a tallent, but still need work.

If the Wildcats want to extend their winning streak, it will be a tough task as the team travels to Plymouth (11-2) to take on the Big Red and sophomore sensation Brook Turson, who beat the 'Cats in New London 57-52 in a loss where New London had a game-tying shot in the final 21 seconds go awry.
The game will have a subplot, however, as in Turson's 51-point performance vs. Mansfield St. Peter's last week, the reigning FC Player of the Year suffered a deep thigh bruise that has continued to plague him to the point of several ineffective stretches vs. South Central and Monroeville in recent games.
"We want to win out and go into the tournament on a good run but it starts with Plymouth," Berry said. "We have to do the best we can on Brook, he's a great player and we need do to whatever we can to stop him.

CRESTLINE -- The Big Red held Crestline to three fourth-quarter points in a nonleague win. Brook Turson led Plymouth with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Jacob Furr added 11 points. Crestline's Mike Rhodes had 11 points.

Brook seems to be struggling with his long range stroke the last couple of games. He really seems to get disinterested when the games are not close. However, he's still getting to the rim, distributing, and his teamates are starting to knock down their open shots. For Brook to get anytype of look at Division one consideration he needs to hit the open shots when their avaliable. The Plymouth Big Red need to make a lot of noise in the tournament the next 3 years. I'm interested to see what Brook is going to turn into. I want to see him turn that corner that big time players make.
