'10 OH OL Skyler Schofner (Michigan State signee)

I saw on Scouting Ohio that Skyler has transfered to Big Walnut.

Great, now i get to play against him this year. :mad2:

Well i guess i can at least give everyone around here my take on him after we, Delaware Hayes Pacers, play against Big Nut this fall.

Heh. Glad to know that nickname is still around. I remember when the letters "W-A-L" disappeared from the sign at the bottom of the hill. Good times.

Best of luck to Skyler Schofner in Sunbury.

Hagerup changes official visits - ESPN

Schofner has many options

It is a good year in Ohio for offensive line talent and one of the best is Skyler Schofner (Sunbury, Ohio/Big Walnut). He has approximately 20 scholarship offers including Wisconsin, Michigan State, Michigan, Illinois, North Carolina, Kentucky, South Carolina, Maryland, Vanderbilt and Indiana.

"I'm still wide open," Schofner said when asked if he has narrowed his list down. "More than likely I'll make official visits. But I don't know who I'll visit yet."

The 6-foot-7, 280-pounder hopes to attend games at some of the above schools and then begin to formulate some kind of list as to where he might go for his official visits.

It's doubtful that many local fans have heard of the most coveted recruit in central Ohio. Skyler Schofner, a 6-foot-7, 300-pound tackle who played at Washington Court House last season, then transferred to Johnstown briefly before landing at Big Walnut this summer. Six Big Ten schools and a handful of schools from the Atlantic Coast, Southeastern, and Big East conferences reportedly are recruiting Schofner.

John McCallister of McCallister Scouting Report added, "He's big and strong and moves pretty well for his size. I think he's the top offensive lineman in Ohio." Kurelic had him 16th on his list of top Ohio seniors.

Former Ohio State assistant coach Bill Conley, a recruiting analyst for ESPN, likes Schofner, but rates Jackson slightly ahead.
