Spinner is the DE/LB rush position. That is where Herron, Evans and Watson are playing. I think the other position might be called the quick, S/LB hybrid. Close to what Brandon Harrison played late last year.

By "spinner", BUCKYLE meant that Robinson will be spinning around looking for the Buckeye WR who just blew by him...

I know people were joking earlier about the positions, but for the select few who do not know the real positions hopefully my meager knowledge can educate you. The Quick and Spinner are two names for the same exact position; The DE/OLBer rush position. The position that Stevie Brown has (and most believe Marvin Robinson will have when he arrives on campus) is the LB/S hybrid, which currently (to my knowledge) does not have a nickname. Sorry to digress from M-Rob's thread.

You are correct. The S/LB position does not have a name as of now. Quick and Spinner are the same position.

My source is telling me different. Not that I really care. He seems to think that because they were being called different names at camp yesterday, that he's right. I'll agree with him if it's all the same.

Safety Marvin Robinson faces charge - ESPN

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan safety Marvin Robinson will be in court on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing after being charged with a single count of second-degree home invasion.

"We are aware of the report," Michigan coach Brady Hoke said in a statement Monday. "We will let the legal process run its course, and we will not have any further comment until that time."

Robinson, 20, has played in five games for Michigan (No. 18 BCS, No. 20 AP) this season and made nine tackles, starting one, against Notre Dame, in which he made a career-high seven tackles.
