'10 FL OL Brandon Linder (Miami Verbal)

I didn't think Linder ever made it to OSU b/c of his injury in his game the night before the USC game? Did he come another week? With a decision on the herizon in the next week or two (per Linder) and I think only the one official to ND in the bag, w/ no intentions of taking any more visits, w/ him being a florida kid, pretty much wraps it up for the Bucks chances on this one. I can't imagine him going OOS w/o taking an official visit there first. W/ all the buzz surrounding Weis @ ND this past week (and probably to continue w/ Pitt and Stanford still on the slate) looking better every day for the home state Canes.

Linder Has Leader, Nears Decision
Posted by Bill Kurelic on Nov 11, 2009 at 10:18 am

Center Brandon Linder (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) is almost ready to end the recruiting process, ESPN affiliate Web site InsideTheU.com reports.

"It's kind of still all four schools (Miami, Notre Dame, Florida, and Ohio State) but I'm going to make my decision soon, basically in the next week or two," Linder said. "They all have a shot but one of them is ahead and I'm not going to say who that is right now."

3. Brandon Linder, OL, 6-5, 290, St. Thomas Aquinas: For the past three years, there has not been a more athletic and productive big man in Florida.

His athletic ability and leadership have earned him praise from colleges throughout the country. He can play tackle, guard or center at the next level.

Linder was hurt at the start of the season and just started to get healthy down the stretch. Miami is the favorite, with Florida and possibly Ohio State still in the mix.

Brandon Linder Commits to "The U"
Posted by admin in High School Football on December 20th, 2009

The University of Miami 2010 recruiting class is getting near full capacity but they just got a commitment from a much coveted prospect. Highly recruited St. Thomas Aquinas offensive lineman Brandon Linder made his pledge to Miami on Saturday to bolster the Canes' recruiting class.
Linder has been as impressive an offensive lineman as there has been in his class. The 6′6″ 290 lbs. behemoth has been a starter on one of the nation's most regarded programs for three years. As a sophomore, Linder was the starting center on a St. Thomas team that won the Florida St. 5A championship. As a junior, Linder moved to the all important position of left tackle and was in charge of protecting the backside of former Aquinas quarterback Ryan Becker as St. Thomas opened up their offense. This season, Linder anchored the men in the trenches and led Aquinas to the state semi-finals.

The pick up is huge for the Hurricanes who are looking to bolster their offensive line play and become even more explosive under the direction of offensive coordinator Mark Whipple. Linder becomes the sixth offensive line recruit to commit to Miami in an area of focus. Linder now becomes the highest rated offensive line recruit to commit to Miami thus far at 4 stars (Scout.com).

The Hurricanes still have their eyes on #1 ranked overall recruit offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson out of Minnesota and word is that Henderson has boiled it down the Miami and USC. Landing both Linder and Henderson would shoot Miami near the top in the 2010 class rankings for those of you who care about those things.
