I read Ohio State had just 6! possessions the whole game. That's crazy.

Ended up winning TOP by 4 minutes after losing it badly in the first half.

Quick thoughts on the offense.

- It did my (elder) millenial heart well to see tOSU back under center.
- I would LOVE to see more passing structures and misdirection runs from UC. Your strongest play action game is also there as well.
- There is a deliberate and slow(er) pace to this offense. I'm just not entirely sure as to the 'why?' yet. I hate the new era 'anxiety' offense and go-go-go. But some more of increased tempo at times would help to improve some things.
- If this is now and outside zone favored offensive line, need to see some conviction to it that would setup the natural bootlegs, misdirection and vertical passing off of it.

Just keep getting better at making teams pay for the way they are selling out to try and manage the Mutant out at WR.

As you get better at that, Throw Him The Goddamned Ball.

The only danger I can see here (outside of BMW stuff) is Day trying too hard to be balanced and falling into his rock fight sins of the past. It is what is, it's his thing. Everyone has one.

It all comes back to him balancing the gas/brakes between nice guy/conservative Ryan Day and ruthless/fuck it Ryan Day.

My advice is to err on the side of ruthless aggression but he's earned the trust at this point.

I don’t know what their remaining schedule looks like but I don’t think I’d be surprised if UW ended up with 10 wins. They’re good.

I respect them a lot as a program. Their stadium is cool, their coach seems respectable and professional. They were a good addition to the conference IMO.

They play scUM Illinois and Oregon those are their toughest remaining games.

8-4 seems like their floor. They should beat Maryland, Rutgers, Wisconsin, Purdue and UCLA

Kudos to Fielding for preventing a TD on the kickoff return by Muhammad. Defensive play of the game imho.

Huskies did get 2-3 bad calls from the refs that contributed to the outcome of the game. And Coleman is a heckuva RB. They have a nice Freshman WR. Boston was basically shutdown.

The toss sweep was very effective in our run game. We need to see more of that as the season progresses.

The right side of the OL had three penalties in key situations. That needs to be corrected.

We saw that being more creative in the red zone is the way to go. We run to the left side a lot down inside the five yard line and need to mix it up more.

Sayin matured yesterday by taking a sack, throwing it away instead of forcing it and taking off and running the ball when nothing was there. I think he hit eight different receivers including WRs, TEs and RBs. That's great distribution of the ball. Though no long throws on the day.

Coach Hartline seems to be bringing more of a Pro Set back to the OSU offense, and I agree, taking the snap from under center opens up a LOT as far a play action fakes, which is the last thing a defense wants to have to defend, with all of OSU's weapons on the outside. Freezing the LBs for a second could prove deadly for a lot of defenses against the Buckeyes.
