Well I’ve got more confidence after watching the past years Rose Bowl.
There were a ton of buckeyes on this team on last years team when we were going against a “juggernaut offensive” team it was taken personal.
With the focus I’m hearing from the guys I’m really thinking this might go sideways on UW quick.
What’s underrated about this game is our familiarity with elite competition. Our familiarity with big games, tough positions, tough matchups, tough environments.
I’ve been really excited to hear the team talk the way they have. They know how serious this QB challenge is.
What’s being lost is that they realize the challenge,

Yup. This game won't be too big for the good guys. But it might be for UW. Other than being an away game we have everything going in our favor. Don't know why the spread is so close to be honest.

Our DL vs their OL is a disaster.
Our OL vs their DL is not great either.
Add in our back 7 erasing their skill advantage and damn I don’t know man.
I love this buckeyes team. As long as we don’t turn the ball over we are going to be just fine.

I can't see it being close after the first quarter unless a monsoon occurs and we turn it over a bunch. Washington is Pyrite and a lot of people's eyes are going to be opened.

Our run defense isn’t great statistically.
Our first road game of the year.
Our QB’s first collegiate road game.
That said, Bucks by 17.

I’ll bite.. Texas ran gap scheme and Washington runs almost exclusively zone running. Not great for them because zone isn’t great vs teams that can run and are disciplined.
That said I was curious about our run defense after that Texas game and after the next few games I’m sold we just invited the run to move the game along vs Texas.
Thats the primarily objective though right? Stop the run.
