Game Thread #1 tOSU at Washington, Sat. Sept. 27th, 3:30 ET, CBS

Washington is pretty ass on defense but their offense might be the best we play all year I think.

Just have to stop them from running the ball and we’ll be fine. They don’t have enough weapons to hurt us as WR so shut down their rushing attack and we’ll win the game provided we aren’t turning the ball over.

If you can't stop the triple option in the year of our lord 2025 (with better athletes) then I just don't have anything for you.

DC's have been shutting this shit down since the 80's

Nothing is a 0% probability but this one is low.

I agree low likelihood unless we are just stupid with ball security. But I’m very much looking forward to our defense vs this talented UW offense. I think our offense is going to go off in this game with how much UW wants to play man.

I want a BTA game from this buckeyes team. After the red zone woes the last game and seeing UW play literally perfect on offense today I think our guys will be fully aware of the challenge.

Turnovers have always been the great equalizer between more talented teams and lesser teams.

Don't help them and they have very few outs.

Easier said than done for first time starting QB on the road vs a team that won't be scared of OSU but, that said, very doable.

True talent level of teams in CFB is meaningful. very meaningful, UW doesn't have the same horses we do. That doesn't guarantee anything but it damn sure improves the odds/makes it difficult on them.

If they’re going to play man? Dude we are going to murder them.

They don’t have the defensive front 7 anyways.

I can’t wait to see Reese vs their QB. I’ll say this… I’m a fan of this UW team. They’re a tougher match than anyone is giving credit.

They’re going to destroy their rival and they probably still won’t be ranked. Not only should they be ranked but they should be top 15 IMO.

Obviously I’m a fan of their offense.
You have good reason to be a fan. They are going to be a problem for a lot of teams this year. Having said that, they haven't face a quality, let alone good or great defense this year. That will change this Saturday.

Yeah I was thinking about that. We played Texas and they played Washington State who got stomped out by North Texas the week prior.

Will be interesting to see how UW handles the massive jump in talent because we know the bucks have been there done that.

Shit Ohio University might be the second best team both UW/OSU has played collectively too.

Yup. In three games we are averaging just 5.3 points per game on D. And the TD pass that Lorenzo gave up against Ohio was a total brain fart.
Was in position just needed to turn around. Then he could’ve tackled him but tried to get the ball. Defense has been lights out and I can’t wait to see how we do vs UW.

In my broken record ways I expect this to be the biggest challenge we’ll face all year defensively. I’ll get made fun of for saying this but I won’t be totally surprised if we lose this game because that’s how highly I think of their offense.

With that said, defense travels and who’s defense is more likely the make sledding difficult? That’s I questionably ours.

UW is a tough out in their house, their offense is electric and balanced, and they’ll be the underdogs. As long as we don’t take bad penalties, turn the ball over, and give up big plays we will win the game because we are the far better team.

I expect some fireworks in this one. First thought is Bucks win 45-24.

If our defense does a number on this UW team then just stamp our ticket for Indianapolis because this is legit one of the best offenses in the country (yes I know they haven’t played anyone).

I watched the Washington game this week from start to finish. I came away thinking that, if Ohio State fixes whatever that was in the redzone this week, this game could be as much as a 3+ TDs margin in favor of the Buckeyes.
