#1 Southern Cal 27, Washington 24 (final)

SC has some real problems developing on the "O" line. That will effect their offense and make for some more close games. They should win the next 3, so maybe the will get healthy in time for Oregon and Cal.

I've always been a big Herbie defender, but my lord, he's making it hard this season.

Yea, he's clearly embarrassed in coming out so strongly in favor of the B10 last year and then by what happened to Ohio State and Michigan in their bowl games and feels the need to grossly overcompensate this year in tearing down the B10.

I don't believe for one minute that he is a sell out. Do you actually think that , Right now, we are better than USC, or LSU. which one would you say is the #1 team?
I may not care for remarks such as the "stumbling" but I didn't hear him say it so I don't know exactly how he meant it.
No Matter; there is no way that I believe he is anything less than a Buckeye.

After the Florida loss, I do believe that we need to prove it on the field against a USC or LSU before we can say that we're better than them. Unfortunately, that kind of proof won't be available by going through the Big Ten undefeated this year.

As for Herbie, I don't expect him to a "Buckeye through and through." He's a professional analyst and should act like one--not a shameless shill like Lou Holtz. That being said, he does seem to be bending over backwards to slam the B10 out of embarrassment for pimping them too strongly last year.

That's not my point. He tries to be objective about OSU and everyone else, but very rarely is objective about SC. He was gushing over them during a narrow victory over Washington.

Well it's a pretty long pattern now on saturday night broadcasts. That was a pretty tame comment on his recent list.

Spot on.

Dozens of young Trojans invade the herd of Huskies.

Sounds like a sticky situation.

umm... ruminants travel in herds. crows travel in murders. swans travel in exaltations. geese travel in flocks. whales travel in pods. kangaroos travel in mobs... huskies travel in packs. :p
