Not to bash our staff but everything tOSU needed to do to win on September 13th you're seeing Oregon State put to perfection.

I thought we needed to control the clock on offense to keep that defense on the field. Keep the chains moving, grind it out, and get timely 3rd down conversions through the pass.

On defense this team is just attacking the line of scrimmage. They aren't waiting back and trying to contain the play makers of USC. They are hitting them before they have a chance to cut or dance.

While Oregon is playing with nothing to lose pretty much I think the mind set is where it needs to be. They have the attitude of "Screw it lets get after them and take our chances"

Maybe a little over confidence by USC? With all the talk about "CAN USC beat an NFL team?" I think they took this lightly for sure.

Now all the sudden if we win out we might get that rematch if USC does lose this game.

I'm sure as noticed what Oregon has that maybe we didn't is a QB who is standing in there under the pressure and making the timely throws. You have to believe the boys are watching this game going "WTF"

I for one want that rematch. Not because of what OSU is doing on TV right now but because I think with Beanie we have the capability to keep that offense of USC's on the field. WHat a game though! I love college football! I feel myself rooting for Oregon as if they're my own team right now haha....

DBB: Very, very sad

You're sad and I'm fucking pissed. This OSU is playing with some goddamned intensity, as a team, and it fucking shows. They want it.

Actually, it's probably more USC asleep at the wheel again... beat up #5 and they figure, well... nothin but gravy til the Orange Bowl (BCS Championship, that is)

Not to mention they've played 2 games thus far.. gotta be out of sync comparatively.

WeAreSC melting down...

Worst Half of Football since Paul Hackett

this game is just unwatchable

OK the NC is gone
Ok folks let's deal with reality

OSU is about to go up 14-0. Will we win this game? Maybe.

Doesn't matter, the NC is gone. With the low profile of the pac 10 this year, we had to win every game 45-0 to stay in contention. And if you want my opinion, OSU will win this game by 20 points at least.

With so much media hype on the SEC and now the Big 12 with Missouri, Kansas, TExas and Oklahoma, if we didn't steamroll every opponent we are out.

Anyway, I am outta here, even if by some miracle we win this game the season is lost. I am so sick of seeing the team with every top athlete in the USA that can/'t figure out Oregon st. or Stanford or cal poly san luis obispo ...
Even the ESPN guys are ridiculing that 3rd and 7 play
got the be the dumbest playcall in memory.
How does Carroll let this happen after the upsets in the last two years?
I cannot believe my eyes, it's obvious that the players aren't buying into the "every game is a championship game" coach speak. We're on the brink of wasting another national championship caliber team.
The coaching staff is not up to par. That's the problem.
:slappy: Oh the irony. (message boards are a piece of work)
Whenever I hear Carroll say, "just get a win and GET OUT OF THERE." It's almost like he's trying to play to not lose, as oppossed to just letting his team run wild.

He said this a lot in the past against away Pac-10 foes (after the game). However, this is the first time I heard him say it BEFORE the game (not sure where I read it, but it was in a recent article prior to the game).
Despite the rhetoric that "competition" is the rule of the program, that's not the case. This coaching staff has faovrites, and it results in the best players not being on the field. Point in case: The Joe McKnight hype machine. Guys like Bradford, Gable, and Johnson don't get shit, but McKnight gets special plays drawn up for him! It's complete bs. They need to get away from annointing certain players the "priviliged" one and start holding everyone to the same standards.
No... Davis, Orgeron, and Chow are the reasons we are spoiled today. Get it right. The last three seasons have been the biggest waste of talent in college football history.

GP - motherfuckin - A

But yes I agree with you. Seeing some emotion and some intensity that does wonders for a team makes me hope the players are watching that first half.
