Ryan Day is genius. Openly pimping his team to remain #1, which he should.
If the Buckeyes are #1 then great, get to pick the venue most advantageous.
If they drop to #2, then he will have publicly set expectations to be #1 and the team will have the "disrespected" chip on their shoulder during practice season.

While I don’t care either way, there’s absolutely a case for OSU to be 1; LSU has a case too.
I don’t subscribe to the “avoid Clemson” logic; there’s a good chance they could beat LSU anyway and you face them regardless; and if LSU beats them, I’m not in love with coming to terms with Joe Burrow on the field especially after we saw the defensive staff wait until the second half to use a zone.

1) we should be #1 for the entire seasons body of work capped by a great comeback vs a top 10 team
2) Fuck it of we aren't...let's just go kick someone's ass. The bad 1/2 game is out of the way and they still won against a team better than the ghost of UGA.
