Heard someone refer to Matta as Gargamel.

:slappy: :slappy:
I think the Voyd Carr comparison is much better...

Is it just me, or is Dick Vitale's schtick more tired than Chris Berman's?

!

Seriously, his schtick has been tired for years! I kept hoping his voice would go out on him last night so we wouldn't have to hear him anymore. The one thing I do like about Dicky though is his enthusiasm.

It was a great 1st half...not sure what happened to our boys after that though. Truly disappointing- I really thought we would win. :(
There are a lot of tough squads this year- should make for an interesting season...& even more interesting come Tournament time!!!!!!

cook looks/plays like a taller wade/miami heat and that FACIAL DUNK on that NC taller player was an NBA DUNK. I was going nuts on that.

another poster said lewis is like another m.redd and I agree bigtime but, add more athletic to

They surprised me more then I thought. They could do anything to score from outside or driving against a top talented team.

If they had Oden :osu: they would have won by 20 at NC.

This is a great team that can only get better.

Matta is such a great game coach

quote by roy williams in postgame presser, regarding the chants of "overrated:"

"This is North Carolina. We don't do that crap to people," Williams said after the game. "That's a sorry chant, and there's no place for it in college athletics."

you stay classy, roy.

He's a class act and I always followed him at Kansas but, he should have told all those weak fans that they, should have chanted to Oden a great thank you for not playing and he knew he was outcoached by Matta. They better enjoy the ACC and hope they don't ever play OSU again in the NCAA tourney with an ODEN.

NC fans are extremely spirited and I love that, but the "overrated" chant BEFORE the game was really classless.

That was one of the best b-ball games I've watched in a while. We are definitely a Top 10 team (even without Oden -- take that, Dick!).

Redd never attacked the basket like Lewis and he sure as heck never threw down the dunks that Lewis has while being here...

bingo. Lewis is going to be a star.

Redd is finally turning into one of the best in the NBA now. Once he added driving to the basket he took his game to another level. He was always known as a great shooter but, adding that to his game is making him tough as heck to guard.

Redd over Jackson in a second and Lewis has that type of game already going on now with his athletic ability. He will be a must get for some NBA team

I like Lewis, but he and Redd are completely different players. Redd plays under control. The moves that Redd pulls off are more impressive and athletic than the ability to jump. Twisting and weaving through the lane, pulling up and being able to square and get a shot off is something that takes more athletic ability than simply jumping out of the gym. I seem to remember Redd playing a little defense too. That'll take some of the attacking the rim and throwing down dunks right out of you.
