sorry for the harp...

thompson with 0 rebounds, 0 steals, and 0 assists.

inexcusable.

At least Sam plays within himself. Not a good stat line, but you also don't have to worry about him costing you possessions and creating fast break opportunities for the opponent.

you don't beat an aggressive hoosier team by holding serve. moreover, smith will at least draw a defender, which keeps a defender off of thomas. thompson? he doesn't even attack the glass off of others' misses. crean should give thompson a wide berth and double- or triple-team thomas. it's an easy game when you can completely forget about an opposing player.

He turned the ball over on the first offensive possession of the game.

But I'm pretty sure he made a jumper just inside the 3 point line, so I think that stat line is incorrect.

Edit: I just noticed it didn't include points  My bad.

So you missed that easy dunk Sam had off an in bounds pass that he tried to slam to hard and lost, causing an easy fast break opportunity for IU.

fair enough. Bottom line is whether you want to put Smith or Thompson on the bench, I don't really care as long as Q gets more minutes.

Thompson isn't aggressive enough and Lenzelle Smith is a shell of himself against good competition. Both scenarios are bad.

Get Q more minutes.

The problem for OSU is not offense as much as defense in the first half. They took out Williams early due to foul issues, which I think hurt a little bit, then having to go to Trey in the middle didn't help matters, and losing Craft for the end of the half made it even worse, plus IU was in the bonus so any foul they drew they were going to the FT line. Combine all those things, that helped IU tremendously to end the half.
