'09 PA DL Tyron Ezell (Pitt Verbal)

From what I heard Longo was just as impressive as Watt if not more...hes definately a better athlete than Watt at this point. My question is how do we know that Longo is not a higher priority than Watt...because the "insiders" tell us? Who says Longo has not already committed but wants to wait to announce it publicly for personal reasons?

People put way too much stock on what the so called "insiders" tell them. All of their information is second hand especially since Conley is no longer the recruiting coordinator...he used to leak alot of info to Bill K. Longo didn't get an offer because the staff wanted to give him a token offer. They gave it to him because he earned it. To many people on this board are assuming...you know what assuming does...

As far as Banks is concerned he was told by the staff that there was a spot being held for him. There may be a communication breakdown somewhere but the last time I talked to his camp thats what they said. Bill K is only going by what the family and camp says because the OSU staff cannot comment on the situation.

As far as Ezell is concerned I don't know. It looks as though Pitt is the team to beat. Thats fine with me because I'd rather see him at Pitt than lined up against us at PSU. IMO we need a DE in this class. If we don't get another this year I'm sure we will take 3 next year.

Relax and remember there are family members of some of these recruits that read these board...like Banks...hint...hint.

There is some serious DE talent in Ohio for '10, plus Gholston. Finding 3 OSU caliber DE's won't be hard next year imo. Not to mention that I'm fine with Fellows, Newsome, Wells, Williams, and Mobley, assuming Williams gets in. Beyond that, I think Ezell ends up at DT and I would rather have Adams. Btw...Longo has NOT commited. It won't take long but he has made no official decision yet. I honestly think the staff is moving on and as a result, Pitt is now the clear cut leader. Ezell is a good player but we only have so much room.

I feel less and less this way every year. PSU has as much chance to hurt us by being a mediocre program as beating us on the field. Same is true for the rest of the Big Ten. We are recruiting the horses - let's test them more than two or three ties a season.

^I disagree 100%. PSU being down helps us recruit that state. The proof is in the pudding. I don't care if every B10 team loses every game...ESPECIALLY MICHIGAN. We haven't lost the last 2 championship games because we played weak competition...if you think that you need you head examined.

My spin on the last two championships is that we have overachieved. People had us picked 3-4 in the B10 last year and they will again in 2009. To be honest the 2006-2007 teams were not as good as the 2002,2003, or 2005 teams. This is the first year we have veterans on both sides of the ball since 2005.

This years Buckeye team is the real deal...we have one team in our path and thats USC. If we lose any other game it is our fault. Don't let Mark May or the other morons have you start believeing what they are saying.

I disagree with that.. I don't think many are going to be picking us to finish 3-4 in the Big 10. Maybe fanboys from conference rivals, but they don't count.

From Pantherlair....Says distance is his main factor. Pitt & Ohio State remain his top two schools, but plans on making an official visit to Colorado as well. Says he's also interested in taking two additional official visits, one of which could be Illinois. Plans on making a decision after all of his officials.
