'09 PA ATH E.J. Banks (Notre Dame Verbal)

Also, given the family tie to Ohio State (Joey Galloway's cousin), PSU coaches may consider EJ Bank an uphill battle to start with. It is like Mike Zordich was an uphill battle for Ohio State even though he lives in Youngstown. So is really PSU the in-state school? I am not sure. And the way recruiting is going in the past couple of years, Ohio State may well be the home team in western PA.
pitt and wvu are the "home team" for wpa. central and eastern (scranton, philly) is more psu area.

By Heath Schneider...Banks did not attend the OSU camp due to his team being at Pitt for camp. His top 4 are Ohio State, Notre Dame, West Virginia, and Wake Forest. Banks plans on coming to Columbus this weekend and would like to decide by this fall on his college choice.

On a PSU site one of the posters who is a coach that has lined up against Banks said he will be an all-amercian safety in college. The guy went on to say PSU has screwed up by letting OSU get the best linebacker and two best DB's in the state.

I don't understand why people are questioning the spot being saved. The kid is a flat out stud.

I remember certain individuals at various recruiting sites not being too excited about Anderson Russell. A kid that played in a wishbone offense as a runningback. The coach I talked to said that this kid has the potential to be a AA safety...considering he has coached 4-5 PA state championship teams and coached on the PA big33 staff I'll listen to what he has to say. He also said at this rate OSU will own the B10 if teams do not stop letting Tressel to recruit the midwest like he has the last two years.
