Orton says the recent resignation of coach Sutton does not have an effect on his interest towards Oklahoma State. Orton says Florida, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Connecticut, UCLA, and USC are recruiting him the hardest.

You guys are not the only ones that are going to be hurting for frontcourt depth in 09. The only two that we will have left is Madsen and Lauderdale so if we do not get Orton we will need to get someone very similar sure we will be hurting down low. I have no inside info but if he gets out of the Oklahoma/Texas region I will be surprised.

I agree...I have more hope for us pulling in Riley in 09 than Orton...

i would really love to land orton, obviously for the fact that he just looks to be a physical specimen. it would be like a gholston on a basketball floor. but i think he would fit perfectly but from what i read so far it seems we are losing him?

Boo Williams: Day 2 Rundown, Part II.......Orton maintains that he is wide open at this point and has taken unofficial visits to USC, UCLA, Oklahoma State and Baylor so far.

Ohio State, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Arizona, Connecticut, Oklahoma, USC, Syracuse. Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA and Wake Forest have offered. Orton states he is open at this point but likes Kansas and will narrow his list later this summer.

Nike MDC: Day 3 Rundown.........Orton displayed his strength and athletic ability along with numerous post moves. Dominates when motivated.

The 6-foot-9, 265-pound Orton is a big guy. And he not only can dominate a game on the offensive end, but also on defense. He was sensational on defense the two games I watched him. He can take over with ability to be physical in the paint, block shots and dominate the boards.

"I am wide open," said Orton, who plays for the Athlete's First AAU team and McGuinness High School in Oklahoma City. "I don't have a favorite right now."

When asked about UK, Orton said "everybody on my list is the same right now."

Orton Rounding Into Shape............Orton is almost back to form from a knee injury he suffered as a junior. Does not name a school list and states he is wide open at this point.
