'09 OH LB Julius Ferrell

I love both Studlien and Ferrel's film. This may be better suited for his thread, but if Ferrell were to come in at the MIKE, do you think Studlien fits in as a SAM with his size already?

It seems to me that Studlien moves better in traffic as of right now than Ferrell does.

He is a good one. I knew his older brother a little bit as he went to my old high school. He was the starting QB for Liberty a few years ago. Liberty always seems to produce good talent for the size of the township. Last year we had 3 or 4 D1 players. We have had quite a few go to schools like Syracuse, Miami (OH), Boston College, Iowa, Toledo, Ohio, Purdue, Pitt, WVU, etc but Julius seems to be the first one that can pick his own program. Fitzgerald Toussaint is another kid that will likely go D1 in a few years. I don't live in Youngstown anymore but I will hope to see a few Liberty games this year.

As to the guy from Austintown, it doesn't really bother me that much because people can confuse us. There are many schools in Ohio with the name Liberty. What I don't like is that Liberty is a township. It has its positives but I think the community can easily be cleaned up if it were something else. It doesn't even have to be a city but something like "Liberty Heights" would allow the politicians to clean up Belmont.

Please excuse my ignorance for a moment 45... but where does that mean you think either would be best at?

My apologies I just saw your response.

Right now Ferrell looks to be a good fit for an OLB position. While Studlien seems like he could be a better fit at MLB since he can move in traffic a little better. But hey, what do I know.

He's gonna end up as Rob Rose part II

Not even close.

Theres some pictures of Farrell on BN, and he isn't anywhere near the physical specimen that Rose was in HS. He's a soft 235 right now, and he's barely 6'1.

Doesn't mean he isn't a player, but the body's aren't even comparable...

Im not really talking about body type.. just that when he fills out (what is he 15/16..) and gets his hand down, he's gonna be a beast.. He's a physically imposing player at the high school level.. two more years of growing and weight training could make him a monster on the line

I have seen a few Liberty games this year and Toussaint is the best player on the team. Toussaint is the best RB in the 2009 class, don't let anyone tell you otherwise either. His film on Ohio High was nice but he has improved more then I ever thought he would. He has even more speed this year but his strength and cut-back ability is what puts him above guys like Mason for the 2009 class. He is going to be a heavily recruited guy...and that is why programs like USC and LSU have already been all over him. His stats are nice (688 yards-12 TD's-15.3ypc) over a 3 game stretch as well.
