The high-flying Boyd received six scholarship offers this past week as coaches tried to squeeze in last-minute visits before a dead period began this weekend. Alabama, Maryland, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Liberty and Wake Forest offered scholarships to Boyd within the past week.

Clemson started the flurry with an offer Monday, or maybe even earlier. Briggs can?t remember for sure when the Tigers presented their deal because, quite frankly, the offers are getting hard to keep track of.

"Every major college that came in here has already offered Jheranie or is going to," Briggs said. "It's amazing how they have flocked in here."

Briggs expects to see more offers come Boyd?s way. North Carolina has invited him to junior day. Florida and Georgia are also courting him.

Jheranie has 21 offers with the most recent coming from Ohio State, Colorado and Virginia Tech. He says he wants to visit Columbus after only speaking with Coach Bollman one time and is interested to see how Terrelle Pryor develops this season. He posted a 10.45-second electronically-timed 100m this spring. Clemson is his current leader.

Films.

My take: There is fast and then there is blazing. Jheranie is BLAZING fast. That much is obvious...however, he also possesses a long frame and shows a willingness to go get the football. I liked his adjustments on the move and his work in space. This kid is a gamechanger and his recruitment is about to blow up nationwide.

From GamecockCentral.com.....Has cut his list to 10 schools, but has not revealed it yet. Ohio State, Colorado, Michigan & Virginia Tech are his most recent offers. Lists South Carolina and Clemson at the top of his list.

Wow...very impressed and hopefully he does come in for a visit. I like Brown a tad more but I think Boyd is the better product at this point. I just like Marlon Brown's ceiling a bit better, though it seems to me Boyd could get even faster if he works with Butch. What stood out to me other than speed is his body control...he adjusts to the ball better than any WR in '09. I also liked how tough he is, as he was always fighting for extra yards.
