'09 KY ATH Justin Green (Illinois Signee)

Typical Ron Zook move...tell the kid anything he wants to hear just to get that signature. Sweep in at the last moment and give the kid some BS.

Justin will be killed at TB in the Big Ten. Sam McGuffie, Part II. I'd rather see him sign with Kentucky or Ohio State, and play DB or WR than mess around with his career at TB. This would be a MAJOR mistake for his future.

Of all the kids that shouldn't bite when a line is thrown out, you'd think it would be one with an older brother that's already gone through the process. . . .

richard washington didn't reaffirm his commitment to osu just 2 weeks prior, nor did he have a brother that played for osu.

This is why it's hard for me to get too upset about the de-commitment. Unless there's more to the story that's not public at this time, I don't want some one that operates this way representing my school for the next 4 years.

I wish Green well at Illinois but against Ohio State, I hope a kick-off bounces off his head, just like the way it happened to Richard Washington.

These coaches who tell kids whatever they want to hear are BOGUS. To heck with Zook. He is a piece of crap. Clearly, Justin Green is no Big Ten tailback. That is not a slight to him, I feel he could be an outstanding DB.

And Zook probably knows that too.

Good luck kid.

Jesus, nothing surprises me anymore in recruiting. This kid is a legacy...and pull this garbage at the 11th hour?

I'm still curious as to how he thinks he's going to get through an entire season playing signifanct snaps in the big 10 @ a buck 70? @ DB you can get away with that, not so much @ RB.

And Zook @ it again in the 11th hour. Not making any friends in the Big 10 his first few years. I wish Justin the best of luck if he does go with the rivals but it's a shame he couldn't follow in the footsteps of Marcus. It's always cool to see the legacy recruits lay their own footprints in the sand after a brother, father, uncle, grandparent, ect... has done so in the past.

I hope he gets the playing time he's been promised and it ends up being a good situation for him b/c if winning is important to him, hope he can live with mediocrity. The Bucks might lay 40 plus on them next year.

There are DB slots on the 2 deep up for grabs next year and he could have very easily been a significant contributor right away with his speed. I wonder what happens when Zooker doesn't deliver on his promise and before the season even starts he ends up back @ DB?

This is definitely a case of a tough decision:

Wants to play RB and could play early at Illinois at that position....

Brother went to OSU, grew up a fan, but he would play CB.....

Would be the man at Kentucky and be very close to home....

Seems like an easy decision, right?

This wouldn't be a question if Illinois wouldn't have said what he wanted to hear...:(

And I have a feeling someone may be in his ear telling him the same thing now. Maybe big bro. I'm not sure how he could even be considered for early PT at RB at 170. The only chance I could see of that happening is on end arounds. Not a likely scenario that he is going to get significant PT at his weight in the B10 and someone with a brain around his inner circle have to be telling him that his shot at the NFL is on D.

Having said that and if he still decides to reneg on his commitment last minute...I say don't let the door hit ya on the @$$ on the way out.
