Reminds me a lot of Larry Grant, but not sure if he has the overall speed that Grant had...With that I agree with everything you said, besides LEO being in his future, unless he grows a couple inches...

He may be too short but he looked to have good size on film...looks like a tweener, much like Julius Ferrell. In fact, I would say they are very similar, though Ferrell is a bit taller. I would like to see both of them come to camp.

My guess: Academics were always an issue. It looked for a while like he was getting them in order but the lack of an offer could be an idication that he never got where he needed to be.

Or maybe because we had out pick of LB's in this class...

The thing is the staff doesn't see him as an lb, and he sees himself there, but where else might he play other than fullback, or can he grow enough to be a DT...

Those are the questions...Not that I agree with all of them or have answers to them, that is just what has been thrown around and why he hasn't been offered, and with Whiting, Klein, and Bell it doesn't look like he will get offered...

Linebacker Quan Fletcher (6-1, 230) is the 2009 recruit most colleges stop by and visit now. Fletcher wasn't practicing Monday when I visited Krop (he had his right pinkie in ice). But he looked to be in a lot better shape physically than he did a year ago. That's because he has lost nearly 20 pounds. After weighing more than 240 last season, Fletcher has gotten leaner and plans to play at around 230 this season. He was timed with 4.67 speed in the 40-yard dash recently -- his fastest time ever -- and likely will play a little bit at running back this season.

Pittsburgh was checking him out Monday. Fletcher said he already has several offers, including a written one from Purdue. Florida State, Central Florida, Tennessee and South Florida also are very interested. Fletcher said he grew up a Hurricanes fan while playing at North Dade Optimist. But he said the one thing he learned from Sabino's recruiting process a year ago was ``to keep an open mind and pick the best fit for himself.''
