Miami (FL) Dr. Krop

Ht: 6-foot-1
Wt: 246 lbs
Forty: 4.95 secs
Vertical: 31 inches
Shuttle: 4.5 secs

Same HS as Howard and Sabino and likely to be heavily recruited nationally.

InsideTheU Bio said:
Quan Fletcher is the other linebacker at Krop, the one that lines up next to Etiene Sabino. He's not quite as heralded as Sabino and not nearly as good, but Fletcher is a man and built like a tank.

InsideTheU Scouting Report said:
He is an excellent run stopper that clogs holes and lays the wood onto opponents. He hits a ton and has fairly good lateral movement. He's a very big linebacker as a high school player, so there is potential for him to move into the trenches if he keeps putting on weight.

National Frosh Soph football Combine

The race for the LB MVP was too close to call so two players went home with the award. First up was sophomore Quanthony Fletcher of Dr. Michael Krop High School. Fletcher, 6-foot-1 and 246-pounds, showed excellent reaction during the positional drills and amazing movement and hips for a player of his size. He also had 24 reps at 150-pounds, a 4.50 shuttle, 4.95 40, 8'3" broad, and 30.5-inch vertical.

InsideTheU lists him at 6-foot-2 240 lbs., FWIW...

This kid is all Buckeye and will be a stud national recruit next year. I really wish I would tell a story about him from Nevadabuck on the Scout premium boards.... mods, would it be allowed?

If he's 240+ already in the middle of his junior year in high school, I'd venture to say he'll be pushing 260 by the time he reaches a college campus. With his current 40-time, he could be looking at sliding down to the line.

Is this the kid talked about in the Sabino "Making of the Brew Crew" piece... the one where his coach says Fletcher is going wherever Howard and Sabino are going?

Since the Making the Brew Crew pieces are free right now, maybe you should go and check for yourself (hint hint)...:wink2:

Yeah...I agree too! I think he's not fast enough to play LB at :osu:. Having said that he could be stud on the line. He is enormous! I guess we've got a good head start with him......if I had to chose from Gtech, WV and the Buckeyes....I know where I'd be going, and I am not biased at all!

Um, false. No offense, as you may not have heard... but he has been clocked at 4.48 in the forty.

None taken! If you are right....I certainly haven't heard that....could you quote a source for that 40-time? If true....man I am gonna be really excited about this one too. The reason for my skepticism about that time would be that I would've expected more "blue-chip" teams to come after him!
