Florida Corner Has Clemson In Final Five

Clemson will get the final shot to impress DB Jaron Hosley (5-10 172) of Delray Beach, FL when he takes his official visits in January. Hosley has visited Louisville according to his coach Andre Thaddies. He is scheduled to visit Ohio State, Michigan, USF and Clemson in January with the Clemson visit set for January 31st. Clemson recruiter Ron West visited Hosley Monday. Tiger head coach Dabo Swinney has not yet had his in home visit. Hosley has not indicated a favorite according to his coach. "I told him to really do your homework," Thaddies said. "I told him you still need to pick a place where you might work for five or six years after graduation." Hosley had 37 tackles and 5 interceptions this season. He also caught 15 passes for 300 yards and 5 touchdowns. And he returned three punts and two kickoffs for scores.

Jayron picked up an offer from Virginia Tech and has scheduled January visits with South Florida (1/9), Michigan (1/16), Ohio State (1/23) and Virginia Tech (1/30).

I am pretty sure they want a visit to see the kid out of his element...to get a read on him before they offer.

Same thing they did with Orhian Johnson I believe

I don't think the # of available scholarships are an issue anymore

Mich has uphill battle (Hosley wary of snow) but he's visiting Jan 16. OSU visit still planned Jan 23 but little chatter there. VT still considered the favorite.

Atlantic cornerback Jayron Hosley is near a commitment to South Florida, picking the Bulls over Virginia Tech. Hosley spurned interest from several BCS powers including Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson, Florida, Georgia and Miami. Hosley is an intelligent kid and has done thorough research during this process.

Michigan actually told Hosley they didn't want to host him any more because it would have been nothing more than a token visit. Sounds like he's USF 100 percent.
