True. However, outside of a handful of teams, the rest of the state is mediocre at best and usually poor at best.

I sat in on a clinic presentation by the Morgantown HS staff...good guys and good coaches, but the caliber of athlete is just not the same.

I think the major follow up question to that is, when you say "Block O" are you saying all 4(shugarts, Brewster, Adams, Long) or just a couple of them? I know of Brewster/Adams recruiting for us but have heard nothing abuout Shugarts and Long recruiting for us.

That is what I figured, just making sure...

So basically what I gather is that Brewster and Adams are pushing Long, Shugarts, and Jenkins, and I would say Long is the closest to being in with them and the other guys will play out the process...

In all fairness I've heard that Painter is a tremendous prospect, but that Shugarts looked like a man child down at the combine. I also heard that Rowell from Glenville ate up Painter and a few of the other top guys in one-on-one competitions...

It's tough imagining an OL being better than Shugarts next year, though I haven't seen Painter or Jenkins yet. But true that grad...his schedule as a whole isn't nearly as tough as many other prospects but just saying that Parkersburg plays the best competition that is available in West Virginia.

By Bob Lichtenfels...OSU HAS OFFERED!!!

IMO Jenkins on film appear to be every bit as impressive as any of the original Block O (although level of competition is a bit of a question). Having spoken with a couple of people that saw him in San Antonio, I really felt this was a kid who needed an offer all along. Glad to see it has come through sooner rather than later.
