All signs are pointing to his returning to Charlottesville and walking onto the football team at UVA after a year of taking classes at Piedmont Valley CC to get qualified.

Rivals premium board, so unfortunately I can't link. Someone other than the standard "friend of a friend of a friend", though. I'm pretty convinced, and to be honest I wasn't before because a lot of the talk was just coming from hopeful and overly optimistic 'Hoo fans. I suppose you'll just have to believe me or not until something more concrete comes out.

I think - not sure, but I think - that the transfer rules within the ACC are much more stringent within one sport than if he were to change sports. I know they can be even more onerous than Big Ten ones - it's why Gus Gilchrist bounced from VT to Maryland to USF.

There's probably also some behind-the-scenes family push to get him back to Charlottesville. The guy's not dumb. STAB is not exactly a pushover school. I'm not too concerned about qualifying. He's also got a younger brother coming to UVA on a lacrosse scholarship, so, again, family push is definitely a possibility.

And Kyle also still has that interest in Ohio State. He has friends in the program (staying in touch with the Brew Crew guys ? although not so much lately) and Howie Long really likes JT.

As Kyle starts dipping his toe back into the exploratory waters of a re-recruiting campaign, our West Coast spies tell me he has already contacted Pete Carroll. Terrible choice (IMO, once again).

Can we get Kyle and his family re-re-re-interested in Ohio State? I will bring you updates of this Long and winding road as they occur?
