From the Louisville site...Trey is hearing from Louisville, Pittsburgh, Ohio State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Illinois and Duke. He grew up a fan of OSU and also liking Louisville.

I'm really hopying Trey gets an offer from Ohio State, but I could see him being very succesful at Pittsburgh, Louisville, and MSU too. Though I'd obviously prefer to not see him line up in the B10 if it's not with the Buckeyes
Good luck to Trey and his family!

I would say it is very doubtful. It would be an honor, but I do not think they are interested. We will see now that Coach Beckman is gone. He was in contact with Trey. Since he left, nothing. There are plenty of schools out there, however to get a great education and play the game he loves. tOSU would be nice though.

It is still very early - there are always kids who earn offers after summer camp or during their senior seasons.

Nothing really, we are whittling down where he will go to camp. INvited to about 20 at this point. I would say the schools with the most interest are:

Akron
Louisville
Maryland
Boston College
Iowa
Colorado
Duke
Northwestern
Pitt

The top four there send loads of texts, hand written mail and such, but no offers

Trey spent time with all those guys when they were here at OSU for the weekend, Posey saw his highlight video and so did Brewster at the same time for the first time. They both ask if he was going to commit to tOSU, LOL, he informed them he can't commit anywhere, since he has no offers.

I know Louisville is high on his list and I think he would be a great fit for their offense (if it stays similar under Coach K). I wish him the best of luck.I think he will get plenty of offers, especially after coaches see him in camp.

You mentioned previously that he and Jake would love to play on the same team. Is that still the plan, if possible?

Does Trey have any interest in Miami University (or vice versa)? Clay Belton needs some targets and Trey would look great opposite Chris Givens. I can understand if he has his sights set higher than that, but Miami is a great school with a strong tradition and an air-it-out offense.

[apologies if this post is inappropriate for a buckeye board]

Miami has been in there quite a bit lately. Coach Jay Hood. They have said they feel he is a decent HS player and would like to see him at camp.

Louisville is high on his list and they are probably the highest on him of the schools I mentioned with Akron, Maryland and BC following that.

We are just loooking for the best fit academic wise and football.

Oh and Louisville under Coach K is also a wide open 4 WR offense.

Best of luck to him, he sounds like a very respectful person, as do you. Hopefully he gets an offer somewhere. I seen his highlight tape and I was very impressed. I'll root for him wherever he goes.

As a Dublin Coffman ('01) and Miami U. ('05) graduate, I know Trey would have an absolutely fantastic college experience in Oxford, OH. Miami throws the ball around a lot (I was there with Roethlisberger, so I know) and Clay Belton should be a good fit at QB for them. Trey could be used much like Miami's used Ryne Robinson the past few years.

However, Miami's football program is simply not Ohio State's (not that anyone on this board needs to be told that). My only knock on Miami's program is student support; it's just not there on a consistent basis. The stadium doesn't exactly inspire awe, either. The team tends to play at a pretty high level, but I feel like all the students are either drunk during the games or watching Ohio State on TV (I was guilty of both many times during my four years there).

Anyway, just thought I'd chime in. Good luck to Trey. I have a feeling, now that Adams has committed and Stoneburner seems on the verge, that Trey will get more attention. If he impresses the coaches at camp, who can say what will happen? After all, 4.3 guys don't grow on trees . . .

I totally agree with you saying the the support isn't there...but with that said there are still a lot of people who do support the team...hell when big ben was here the games were all sell outs...its just sometimes frustrating watching a mediocre team play...even so the majority of the students are looking to jump on some kind of bandwagon(see miami hockey last year and this year to an extent) and if the football team starts palying to its potential then the students will follow i can promise you that
