Woods may not be faster than Adams, but he looks faster than Fairchild on film. He also runs his routes more crisply than Fairchild does. He may not be faster than Adams, but he is bigger and, what's more, he's a better all-around football player. Out of Adams, Woods, Fairchild and Peade the later is still my guy, especially since he could play RB in addition to S.

Peade > Adams = Woods > Fairchild

Everyone has an opinion and I respect yours. It is like food, everyone has a different taste and fortunately there are plenty of schools that like all four boys and they will all get their opportunities.

Woods and Fairchild were at the same combine in January. You are right Woods was faster, he ran a 4.35 and Fairchild ran 4.36.

In your humble opinion...right? I think that is an important addage which should be posted as a signature on most posters on this board.

Only a few of us on this board are experts. I played the game in HS and college and wouldn't consider myself an expert in evaluating talent.

It takes a special eye to see and thank God that Tressel has that eye. Now back to DJ Woods...

Well it just sucks that we don't have numbers like we will next year...

There would be a good chance that we would be offereing all of Pead, Woods, Adams, and Fairchild...

There's always an upside... In this situation, it's that we'll have a lot of veteran players in place for another title run next year...

I think we need some speed in this class, and if DJ is who the staff wants, then it's alright with me...
I agree... when is it appropriate to start discussion grey shirts? Sucks to give away great home-grown speed.
Only one non-kicker "grey shirt" since Tressel's been coach (Boeckman). Cedric Scott (younger brother of Darrion Scott) and Freddie Lenix were given the opportunity, but grades kept both of them out.

It's pretty tough to convince a kid to grey shirt when he's got other D-I opportunities; and if the kid doesn't have other D-I opportunities, then why would Ohio State offer him a scholarship in any year? Plus, the kid has to pay his own way for a while. Not many prospects will fall into the "grey shirt" area.

I'm pretty sure if you look at the last 10 years, Brunswick's record vs. Strongsville would look similar to the cooper era vs. Michigan.

Unless Cooper went 7-4 against UM, you are mistaken. Brunswick is 7-4 against Strongsville in the last 10 years. With the last 2 meetings being won by a combined score of BHS 77 - SHS 31...My original comment about "owning" Strongsville was TIC. Strongsville generally has better talent than Brunswick, case in point high level recruits like Woods and Josh Kerr, to name a few. But BHS is generally more disciplined, better coached, and play harder, much like OSU in comparison to UM...end of the high school rivalry pissing contest and getting back on DJ Woods!

DJ would look great in S&G, and like i said before, i would love to have another Pioneer Conference (J Kerr) on the Bucks. If DJ has a camp performance like he did at the combine, you are probably looking at our next CB commit.
