Highlights from area football: Week 9

Wayne 21, Fairmont 18: The teams exchanged 90-plus-yard kickoff returns in the second quarter. Fairmont's Johnathan Kendrick brought one back 95 yards for a TD to put his team up 18-7. Wayne's Erique Geiger answered with a 90-yard return to make it 18-13. Troy Gilmer scored the winning TD for the Warriors on a 25-yard pass from Braxton Miller.
