'08 OH OL Zebrie Sanders (FSU signee)

I still don't see him getting an offer...the staff wouldn't have sent the offer to Jenkins ahead of Sanders unless they were worried about their recruiting at tackle, and I don't get the impression the staff is too worried about Adams (unlike some cliff-jumpers) and/or Shugarts/Long.

To answer westbuck's question, it has been saide that Sanders does not have that mean streak that Bollman loves. He also is not nearly as technically sounds as any of the other lineman we have offered. He is a project, but a project with potentially first-round NFL draft measurables. That is why his offer list is so expansive at this point.

To comment further on that "offer" list....

Southern Cal has not offered - they are merely in his top 5.

Michigan is notorious for extending highly conditional offers, so I would put an asterisk next to that one.

And southern schools sometimes will make an early offer to a northern kid just to get into the mix, so that might help to explain the apparent interest from Clemson, Miami, and Georgia. Such "offers" don't generally hold up in the long run.

Duke and Northwestern have also offered.

Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, Louisville, Michigan State, Indiana, and Illinois have not offered.

It will be interesting to see where Zebrie signs next February.

Sanders is the opposite of Connor Smith... Smith played in a run heavy offense and had very little pass-blocking experience, and Sanders plays in a pass heavy offense and has little run-blocking experience...
I think this is just a case of others being higher on the board... Sanders is a nice prospect, but he isn't as polished or as ready to contribute as Adams, Long, and Shugarts are (size-wise or ability)... And our depth chart mandates a couple of these guys at least be close to ready from the minute they step on campus...
