If you do, could you share it with me? If this is a cryptic reference to the impact on Torrence's commitment if BB was offered, I can't see what the need for secrecy is.
Navy, my secret decoding ring was guessing it had something to do with his advisers. Seems like they could easily bring him in as an athlete to get around the only one RB problem.

That's the way I see it too. Remember the Morris kid who wound up at NCST?

I don't really know, but the hint seems to point that way. Just my opinion.

I think BB would do anything to attend tOSU and wouldn't let any advisor or family member (key word), to deter him.

If that's the reason he's not being offered... it blows.. what did Brandon do to deserve that type of treatment... Okay OSU doesn't wanna deal with his "advisors", but is that really fair to Beachum?? By all accounts he's a great kid, and loved OSU..

That's the staff's decision to make...they have to take into account every factor and sometimes a player's support system factors into it. Is that the case here? None of us really know. But the staff does not like dealing with overbearing parents...look at Aaron Brown, Adam Myers-White, etc. Again, I am not saying that has anything to do with Brandon's situation. I think the #1 reason he has not received an offer is because the staff does not think he has the size to play in our defensive scheme...something I agree with.

Is it really fair to the staff and the rest of the team to have outsiders meddling in their affairs? I'm not pointing the finger at anyone in particular, just making a general response as to why some recruits/players "deserve that type of treatment".

RB relishes increased time
By Nate Mink Email
Collegian Staff Writer

The "bulldog" lowers his shoulders and crashes into defenders, bringing the cracking of pads and helmets against each other.

Each rep Brandon Beachum gets in practice colliding with the first-team defense resembles the competition he sees in games while Stephfon Green rehabs a chronic ankle injury.

Despite playing in every game since he's arrived at Penn State, Beachum's impact has mainly come on special teams and in garbage time. With Green's status in doubt Saturday at Northwestern, Beachum is taking advantage of the reps he gets lining up behind quarterback Daryll Clark and the first-team offensive line.

In limited carries, Beachum is always running hard, en route to a 4.8 yard-per-carry average and no fumbles.

"I haven't been given how long he'd be out," Beachum said about Green. "That doesn't change my approach at all. I'm playing one day to the next making the most of the opportunities I have."

PSU loses running back Beachum for year
By Matt Fortuna, FOR THE PITTSBURGH TRIBUNE-REVIEW
Tuesday, August 24, 2010

Penn State running back Brandon Beachum will redshirt the 2010 season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee late last fall, his father, Lock, said Monday evening.

Beachum appeared in all 13 games for the Nittany Lions as a true freshman in 2008 and in 11 games as a sophomore in 2009. He suffered the ACL tear on a kickoff to open the second half of his team's 31-20 win over Indiana last Nov. 14 at Beaver Stadium.

Beachum excited for return to field
By Jake Kaplan
Collegian Staff Writer

It?s been 17 long months for Brandon Beachum.

So long that the Penn State tailback?s father, Lock, said he couldn?t exactly put it into words. But when a stronger and faster Brandon Beachum takes part in the annual Blue-White game on Saturday, it will have been 518 days since he last played on the Beaver Stadium field.

?He hasn?t had this much excitement in a long time,? Lock Beachum said. ?He?s like a kid in the candy store right now. He?s just really fired up for the spring game coming up on Saturday and then looking forward to competing in the fall.?

Beachum redshirted last season after the Nittany Lions coaching staff decided his knee wasn?t 100 percent healthy. The Struthers, Ohio native tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in a Nov. 14, 2009 Penn State home win against Indiana.
