Watson, Crick & A Twist
That quote about 4.87 has been in the 2008 prospect blogs since the first edition (February 2007). If it is slowing him down then that isn't showing up in his offer sheet.pabuck1;864884; said:When and where did Brandon run a 4.87 forty that could be hurting him?
While I cannot tell you at which combine or camp that was recorded it is clear that it was not one of the current round - else the edit date on the lead posts of the 2008 Top Recruit News Blogs (1, 2) would be recent. So, I conclude the slower number comes from an earlier date.
Beachum was described in another recruiting blog as showing a 4.82 forty - but again that seems to point to a combine prior to this year.
Scouting Ohio shows a 4.62 from the 2006 Akron combine - he was also at the AA combine this year, but no results from that were publicly disclosed.
Either way - if there really are questions about Beachum's speed he has an excellent chance to answer them during the upcoming camp at Ohio State.
Hopefully he can earn the Buckeye offer he so clearly wants.
