'08 MD WR Kenny Tate (Maryland signee)

with Thomas committing, do we still have a chance at Tate? I know we are still looking at Scott as another WR. That's a pretty loaded WR/TE/skill position class. There's a lot of talk about Tate being a good enough athlete to play on the defensive side of the ball as well. It's tough to pass on the 2nd best player in the state of Maryland if you have a shot at him. Any thoughts?

Things have long since cooled with Tate & OSU, hence the location in the '08 subforum. He has not favored OSU since the end of last year.

When watching him at the Herbie Challenge, he lacked the physicality I'd want from a tOSU recruit. He seems destined for the offensive side of the ball, where his hands need some work.

Scott is the one more likely to end up on the defensive side of the ball...

I love Big Mike, Brew, Stoney, Devier, Ben and Terrelle (that's right, I said it) getting some up-close time with Tate, Long and Jenkins. Let's hope TP looks at Tate alot in that game - I doubt Stoney and Posey will mind.:biggrin:

It it reasonable to assume that there is inside/premium info that resulted in moving this thread back to the main recruiting forum? Thanks for any hints...
