'08 IL WR Brandon Green (Minnesota Signee)

Sounds like we could be a definate lock for this kid if we get that offer out to him especially if we are considered his "dream school".

lock is a very strong word... be careful how you use it:). I think we have a legit shot at all of the wide recievers that are interested in us. It is just a matter of who we offer, and who doesn't get an offer.

Not sure...as a WR, probably fairly slim. Small class and offers tendered to Posey (accepted), Scott and Floyd already. With Scott likely to join Posey, I think Brandon's best shot at an offer would be with a stellar camp workout, possibly with the DBs.

Flyod's decision will likely not have any impact on whether Brandon gets an offer or not...Brandon needs a huge showing at camp and a strong transcrpit.

i know that scholarships are very limited this year, but we always say that we want people on the team who want to be buckeyes and i think brandon green wants to be a buckeye. he doesn't have to be a wide receiver, just bring him in and then we will find out his right position.

GO BUCKS!!!

If we took every kid who REALLY wanted to be a Buckeye, we'd have 40,000 kids who we don't need on our team.

Although Brandon is a great talent and he does indeed have a strong interest in the Buckeyes, if the opening isn't there, we can't give him an offer. Posey really wants to be a Buckeye too and I'm sure the next tall WR we get will be too.

Brandon is good but I think he would have needed a strong camp performance regardless. His film wasn't all that impressive and my opinion is he won't be in this class unless he has a great camp performance.

I just hate when we skip over kids who really wanna go to ohio state and when we end up playing them later they have the greatest game of their life. Lets not forget Ryan Brewer, grew up in Troy, OH loved tOSU, never got an offer. Then he did this to us in the Outback Bowl ....
Brewer, a wide receiver by trade, filled in more than capably, accounting for 214 all-purpose yards and scoring all three South Carolina touchdowns. He rushed for a seven-yard TD early in the third quarter, caught a 28-yard TD pass 43 seconds into the fourth period and ran for a two-yard score with six minutes remaining.

The 5-10, 205-pound sopohomore burned his home state team by rushing for 109 yards on 19 carries and catching three passes for 92 yards. He also had a punt return for 13 yards.

There will always be someone who has a great game against OSU that we didn't take. Fact is that we can't get them all and we can't take every Ryan Brewer that's out there, because like Cornerback said, he is the exception rather than the rule.

I understand that if ohio state took everyone that ever wanted to be a buckeye we'd have 40-year old drunks running around the field, just stating the obvious in it stings when networks like ABC and ESPN blow everything out of proportion when a buckeye fan growing up gives us a beating when he goes to another school
