'08 GA DL Brandon Thompson (Clemson signee)

Coach Haynes was down in Thomasville today and talked with Brandon. Georgia OC Mike Bobo (a Thomasville grad) was also there, FWIW.

Sounds like OSU is trying to make a late push, but THS head coach Richie Marsh said that he thinks Thompson will end up at Clemson, no big surprise.

Tennessee entering the picture for Thompson
Tennessee is making a late run at 6-foot-2, 290-pound defensive tackle Brandon Thompson of Thomasville.
Thompson confirmed Wednesday evening that he?s considering Clemson, Georgia Tech, LSU and the Volunteers.
He is scheduled to visit Clemson this weekend.
As for the Tech coaching change, Thompson claims it hasn?t harmed the Jackets? chances of gaining his commitment.
?It doesn?t change my feelings about them,? he said.

No Decision Soon From Thompson

By Phil Kornblut
It does not appear DL Brandon Thompson (6-2 275) of Thomasville, GA will make up his mind on a college anytime soon. Thompson, who made an official visit to Clemson last weekend, was expected to make his decision soon after that visit, perhaps even commit to Clemson while on campus. But he said Thursday he has more thinking to do. "I want to take another visit before I make my decision," Thompson said. "I plan to visit Tennessee." No date for that visit has been set. Thompson also has visited LSU, Georgia Tech and Ohio State and he said all four of the schools he's visited are still in the running. As for his weekend at Clemson, Thompson said it gave his parents a chance to look things over. "My mom got down there to see the place," he said. "And I really enjoyed the people and the players." Thompson said he has no favorite right now.
