Mark has Minnesota and MSU as his leaders.

UHHH...I wonder why? It must be nice to take academic risks that other teams cannot. Has to be a correlation between a team full of academic risks and teams ALWAYS having meltdowns during each season.

Jackson will be visiting Michigan State. They are recruiting him on the defensive side of the ball. West Virginia, MSU, and Texas (no offer) are his top three schools.

Mark talked it over with his mom after verballing to Marshall and they decided that Akron was a better fit.

Mark did not qualify orginally, but has fulfilled the requirements at Cincinnati Harmony Prep. Illinois placed him at Harmony and Indiana, Minnesota, Illinois and Cincinnati have offered. The tOSU staff has inquired about Mark also.

Mark is fully qualified and will enroll somewhere in January. Coach Bollman is coming to Harmony next week to Mark know the staff decision on an offer.

Mark will set up an official with tOSU and is also considering Oklahoma, Illinois and Michigan. tOSU is the only school on the list that has not offered.

By BK...Mark talked to OSU over the weekend and was at the Illinois/OSU game. He is looking at setting up visits to Minnesota, WVU, OSU and Michigan.

I thought one of the biggest reasons we dropped O'Dowd was because he was considered an "inside guy". Mark Jackson last year was considered, much the same way O'Dowd is this year, a center prospect. Why bye-bye O'Dowd and hello Jackson all of a sudden?

Mark is a different player than he was a year ago...he is now 6-foot-6, which most people will tell you is a touch on the tall side for a center. He also has a decent wingspan, which is another attribute you look for in a tackle. The fact is that if Davis wants to come on board, Jackson may get left out as well. But if Davis passes on OSU, then Jackson will likely get that offer, not O'Dowd.
