'07 OH CB/RB Jordan Mabin (Northwestern signee)

I could be wrong, but I was under the impression that Mabin never played corner last year at Nordonia. Good athlete doesn't necessarily equate to good defensive back.

Mabin has been playing corner at some camps and combines, and really impressed people with his play. Apparently he was the only corner at the entire Scout.com Pitt Combine that could even hang with Toney Clemons.

that's fine and all, but I want to see him actually do it in a game. all too often someone sees a great athlete and automatically assumes they can be moved to corner if nothing else works out. there's a lot more to the position than being a great athlete and looking good in a few drills.

Just took a look at his film, and I know he is being recruited as a cb, but he shows great ability as a rb. His running sytle reminds me a lot of what I see from Pittman.

I realy like Mabin and would not mind seeing him get an offer. I think he is a top 12 talent in the state.

Camp could go a long way for him in getting an offer.

I have been as tough on the small-ish corners from Ohio lately (Chappel, Harrison, etc.) as anyone, but Mabin might be the exception. I love what I read about this kid, and from the video I have seen, he just looks like such a natural corner, playing with such fluidity. Add to that a great GPA and ACT score and I think I am ready to see Jordan get an offer.
