Greg Powers told me after his visit and verbal to Wisconsin that he would not be surprised to see Carlton turn around and verbal to Michigan State. Dead on with that info...

He may be staying open to Louisville due to the fact that his grades are very suspect, and Louisville has softer admission standards than Wisconsin. So I don't know if Petrino leaving would effect his decision or not. Also, if Wisconsin takes another safety in this class, it might make C.J. suspicious that the Badgers really see him as a linebacker, when he is dead set on playing safety. I think he is a linebacker personally. Wisconsin has taken 3 safety commits in this class (including Peake) and a preferred walk on (Wisconsin has had a walk on starting at safety pretty much continuously since the late 90's).
