'07 NJ OL Anthony Davis (Rutgers signee)

if the Pitt game was AT Rutgers... I'd disagree...

I've been to two games and saw bits of a third on TV.. this is a pretty good ball club... extremely fast but definitely undersized...

excellent backfields... offensively and defensively...

but they have a pretty stuff schedule the rest of the way... @ Pitt, Louisville, @ Cinci, Syracuse, @WV
that's a handful for any team...

like Tressel says... can you handle success... Rutgers football has never had to deal with such a concept

Update by Allen Wallace. Anthony mentions USC, Ohio State, Florida State, Rutgers and Miami but says he has no leader because he's yet to officially visit anywhere.

So now Miami is back in the picture? Just goes to show what an impressive 14-13 win at home in front of 20k over Houston will do for recruiting. :tongue2:

Football: Piscataway proves it is class of the Red

Staff Writer
PISCATAWAY -- Dan Higgins' postgame speech was short and sweet, much like the drubbing his Piscataway High School football team had just administered to an unbeaten Sayreville squad.
"I'm very proud of you and the way you played this game," Higgins told his Chiefs moments after the final whistle Friday night. "It wasn't perfect, it wasn't pretty, but it was our best game this year."
That sums it up for Piscataway, which controlled every phase of a 20-8 victory before crowd of 2,500 at Ciardi Field. The Chiefs (5-0), ranked No. 1 in the Courier News Top 10, have the upper hand in the Greater Middlesex Conference's Red Division.
As importantly, they exacted a measure of vengeance in this fierce rivalry. In last year's meeting, Piscataway committed eight turnovers and Sayreville won 24-14, snapping the Chiefs' 23-game winning streak.
"We were extremely motivated to play today," Higgins said. "There's no doubt this game was very important because of what happened last year. We came out with a lot of emotion and I knew that was going to be the key."
The Chiefs dominated the first half, compiling 159 rushing yards while holding Sayreville to 16. And they capitalized on Sayreville's first mistake, recovering a fumble and marching 42 yards on five plays -- all runs by speedy senior Terrence Fox, who capped it off with an 8-yard scoring sweep around left end.
Coleman Peteet's extra point made it 7-0 with 10:39 left in the second quarter.
"The line was doing a great job and then it was my turn," Fox said. "The line is doing something for me, so I've got to do something for them."
Sayreville (4-1) responded with a three-and-out, and Fox then returned a booming punt 32 yards to the Bombers' 11. Three players later, tailback Barry Garrard bulled into the end zone from 1 yard out to make it 14-0.
That's how the score remained until the fourth quarter, when the Chiefs embarked on another lightning march, going 68 yards on six plays. Quarterback Tony Logan engineered this one, posting a 31-yard run and a 32-yard pass to Marvin Booker. Fox finished it up with a 1-yard dive over the top.
Fox finished with 69 rushing yards, Garrard turned in 95 and Logan tallied 66 on the ground and 66 in the air. All told, the Chiefs rushed for 217 yards and threw for 99 more.
"The line was phenomenal," Fox said. "They give their heart and soul to every block, no matter who's in the backfield, no matter what down it is. You could have driven a truck through there."
Much credit goes to the defensive line as well, which made life very difficult for talented Sayreville quarterback Mark Margres (10-for-19, 81 yards), repeatedly pummeling him and knocking him out of the game early in the fourth quarter.
Also coming up big in Piscataway's defense was sophomore Malik Holland, who registered a fumble recovery and an interception. When it was over, Sayreville had mustered just 156 yards from scrimmage.
The only blemishes for Piscataway were 10 penalties for 105 yards and a long Sayreville kickoff return that led to its lone score.
Nevertheless, revenge was served.
Senior lineman Anthony Davis, who was named a U.S. Army All-American Friday night and had Rutgers coach Greg Schiano and a coterie of Scarlet Knights assistants watching him from the sideline, summed it up nicely.
"This meant a lot," Davis said. "We're starting a new winning streak now and nobody is going to break it."

I hope Jenkins can get in his ear. As much as I love the POTENTIAL class of next year I always like to have "insurance" at the OL position, and insurance with this talent is wonderful.
